Art Creation and Submission Guidelines
SUBMIT YOUR ART ELECTRONICALLY: Files less than 5 MB can be emailed. Please name you files with the design name, and include all pertinent contact info in the email message, such as your name, the job name, and your phone number.

FTP: Art files larger than 5 MB can be transferred via FTP. Please call for FTP info.

SUBMIT YOUR ART BY MAIL: Original hand-drawn artwork, new logos, and/or photographs should be mailed by an insured and guaranteed method, rather than by standard mail: Vreeland Graphics, 2000 E. 6th st. Austin, TX 78702.

SUBMIT YOUR IDEA, WE'LL CREATE THE ART: Submit your own design or design ideas. Our expert art department can work from your computer disk, your camera ready image, or your sketch, to create the design of your dreams.

RATE PER HOUR: $65/hour, minimum 1/2 hour.

PRODUCTION TIME FOR CUSTOM ART: Please allow 7 working days for the creation of your design. Would you like a proof emailed to you? Vreeland Graphics will send you a proof via email at no extra charge.
Computer File Formats:

Adobe Illustrator - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: All versions, up to and including Illustrator CS2. PREFERRED FILE FORMATS: Save as native .ai or .eps file. INCLUDE ALL LINKED IMAGES & FONTS. Fonts should be for Mac platform only, or converted to outlines.

Adobe Photoshop - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: All versions, up to and including Photoshop CS2. PREFERRED FILE FORMATS: Save as native .psd or .tif file. Photos - 180dpi at 100% print size, or greater. Line art - 300 dpi or greater, saved as bitmap. If possible, mail original photos used in creating the artwork, in case we need to re-scan. Do not flatten layers, as it is often helpful in adjusting a file to print to have the original layers if layers were used to create the design. FONTS: Please rasterize all fonts contained within Photoshop images before submitting.

Quark Xpress - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: Up to and including Quark 6. INCLUDE ALL LINKED IMAGES & FONTS: Fonts should for Mac platform only.

Macromedia Free Hand - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: All, including Freehand MX and below. INCLUDE ALL LINKED IMAGES & FONTS: Fonts should for Mac platform only.

Adobe PageMaker - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: Pagemaker 6.5 and below. INCLUDE ALL LINKED IMAGES & FONTS: Fonts should for Mac platform only.

Corel Draw - NO VERSIONS ACCEPTED: We cannot accept Corel Draw files at this time. Use the export feature in Corel Draw to export the file as an EPS or Illustrator file. See Illustrator guidelines.

Adobe InDesign - VERSIONS ACCEPTED: Up to and including version CS2. Include all placed images and fonts. Fonts should for Mac platform only.

The following are NOT vector art programs and should be avoided for art execution like the plague:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Corel WordPerfect
  • Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Microsoft Publisher

The following is REQUIRED information when using e-mail, ftp, or fax communication:

  • Contact Person's Name
  • Department / Organization
  • Phone Number
  • Fax Number, if available.

All art work created by Vreeland Graphics remains the sole property of Vreeland Graphics. Use of images created or film work made can be released only by formal written consent from Vreeland Graphics. It is extremely important that you inform us of the necessity or intention to reproduce your design in any other format.
